Sacramento Printing Services
Sig-1 began in 1996 as a print brokerage with a service oriented focus that was designed to accommodate typically segmented portions of the printing industry, a hybridization, if you will, of a fine sheet-fed lithographer (Printer) and a copy shop. As the company grew it became more apparent that it needed to evolve into a true print shop to continue to offer the excellent service and quality our clients had become accustom to. In July 2001 Sig-1 purchased Wilkinson Lithography, an existing printing company, that had lithographic printing capacity. After 6 months we added high volume color copying to our production as well as high volume black and white. Shortly after those acquisitions we converted all of our printing capacities to digital workflows, eliminating film, and going direct to plate. This prepared us for our transition to full color printing and in 2007 we purchased our six color printing press and have realized great success. Currently Sig-1 is growing into new areas of the industry such as: ad specialty, sign and banner printing, all of which are capacities that are again within the scope of the printing industry. We are excited about the future and enthusiastic about pursuing new products and services to better facilitate our clients needs.

Quality Checks
Your project is our opportunity to earn your trust which is important to us. Printing can be a complicated undertaking and having a partner who can help you realize your goals and stay with you through the process is valuable. Communicating with you from the time that your project is submitted into our state of the art RIP (Rasterized Image Processor) for assignment to one of our digital or offset devices, we stay with it. This is not a fire and forget environment, but a fire and analyze the trajectory environment. This can correct any imbalances foreseen or unforeseen. We want to make you look good by making sure that we achieve consistency in all your printed pieces. This means regular calibration of all our color devices and keeping our techs on top of maintenance as well as ongoing training with the latest and most up to date software and tools of the industry.
Attention To Detail
We spend a lot of time thinking about how we can set ourselves apart from the pack and it's really quite simple: details, details, details. Really that is all this business is. "What kind of paper?" "What color ink?" "Will that ink be the same color on that paper?" "What is your process build supposed to be a build too?" "What is it that you want to accomplish with this piece?" A small sampling of some of the questions that should be asked or understood by a printshop that is engaged and interested in your project.

Don't Forget The Past
It is important to not forget past printing techniques. The Sig-1 combination of old and new techniques can create the most intriguing printed pieces that will definitely make you stand out from your competition.
